To support one another through a body-positive mindset, create art that brings together our community, and always feel sexy enough to exist and be ourselves.
Burlesque as a whole is meant to be a place in which people are allowed to express themselves through the art of tease. Our mission is to let people experience this historically BIPOC and LGBT+ community art. To express ourselves in a way that is not through the normalized white male sexualization. We bring others up to find their confidence in themselves again. Every body is beautiful, and we stand by that.
To continue, we also want to create a professional and caring place for people to learn about Burlesque and be able to perform it professionally outside of the college. Teaching them the history of burlesque. Teaching the basics of burlesque, dance, and tease. Making sure they have the resources to get themselves started and know where to gain support. Getting them connections with alumni and local community members who are involved with the burlesque scene.

Cornish Drag Club aims to welcome and support drag performers and drag enthusiasts of all styles, skillsets, majors, sexualities, and gender identities through weekly club meetings and multiple performances each semester.

Membership Benefits
Members are able to explore the world of drag through weekly meetings, workshops, events, and performances. Meetings and workshops include educational and skill sharing activities on all things drag: Makeup, hair, costumes, fashion, dance, acting, event planning, celebrity impersonation, gender performance, and more. Cornish Drag Club offers members and audiences exciting and all inclusive queer performances that are valued greatly by the Cornish community.
