Join the planning team for a local town hall event! We are advocating for salmon restoration and sustainable fisheries, accesses to affordable housing, and just and humane treatment and engagement of immigrants.

University Ministry hosts the annual Ignatian Advocacy Summit Northwest each year (March 5, 6 and 7 2026). The Summit is a student-led advocacy network that develops advocacy via our shared local Ignatian network with participation from both Jesuit Universities in the state and 5 Jesuit high schools in the area.

The three-day event culminates in a Town Hall on campus with participants advocating for salmon restoration and sustainable fisheries, accesses to affordable housing, and just and humane treatment and engagement of immigrants. We are looking for students to serve on our leadership team to plan and execute the Town Hall. Time commitment entails 1 hour of meeting (mtg) per week with equal independent research time around the topic issue (resources provided). These meetings will begin on Monday evenings (over zoom from 6-8 pm) on January 26th and run through each Monday until the Town Hall on March 7th.

Town hall prep and the event itself require a large time block on March 6th (4 hours) and March 7th (5 hours).
